The Watermark is a smaller crag 200 feet west of Avalon, just above the stream. It consists of four buttresses and offers several pleasant routes. To approach, ford the stream and follow a path directly up to the bottom of the formation. A path leads up around the right side of the crag to a big bench above the routes. From here a good path leads northeast to Avalon, or vice versa.

Glennevere 8 *
FA: R. Rossiter and Glennis Walters, 2000. Begin at the bottom of the northwest face, 40 feet left from The Memory of Trees. 6 bolts to a 2-bolt anchor, 65 feet.

The Memory Of Trees 9 *
FA: R. Rossiter, 1996. Begin at the lower right side of the formation beneath a clean arete with two small roofs. Turn the first roof on the left and second roof just right of the arete. 9 bolts to a 2-bolt anchor, 100 feet.

Road to Isengard 7 *
FA: R. Rossiter and Glennis Walters, 2000. Begin as for Trees, but go up and right, turn an easy roof and climb the middle of the slab to the top. 7 bolts to a 2-bolt anchor, 100 feet.

New Minas Tireth 10a *
FA: R. Rossiter, 2005. Begin as for the Road to Isengard, but break right into a left-facing corner. Climb up and right through a steep narrow rib. 6 bolts to a 2-bolt anchor, 60 feet.

Lothlorien 8 *
FA: R. Rossiter, solo, 1996. Climb the clean slab at the far right side of the formation. 5 bolts to a 2-bolt anchor, 80 feet.
